FAQ

How do I add the widget? Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap + in the top-left corner and choose Kindly. Medium and large widgets have share, favourite and next buttons.

The widget shows a different quote or theme from the app. Open the app once and the widget updates. If it still differs, remove the widget and add it again.

Do I need an account? No. An anonymous per-device account is created on first launch. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.

I posted something but others can’t see it. Every post is reviewed automatically. Posts that put others down, spam, promotions or links, sexual content, or personal information such as phone numbers or addresses stay visible only to you or are not published.

I saw a post that bothers me. Use the ⋯ menu on the post to report it or block the author. Blocked authors disappear right away; posts reported by several people are hidden and reviewed.

How do I delete my posts? Delete a post from its ⋯ menu. To delete your account and all your posts and reactions at once, go to Settings › Delete account and data.

Will deleting the app remove my favourites? Yes. Favourites and themes are stored only on your device. Posts on the server remain, so delete your account in Settings before deleting the app.

Which Bible translation is used? Verses are quoted exactly from the Korean Revised Version (개역개정) of the Korean Bible Society. The app’s content is in Korean.

My post was saved as “Only me”. Very short or unclear posts (for example “lol” or repeated characters) and negative posts are kept visible only to you. Add a sentence about what you are grateful for and why, and it can be shared. Posting the same text again or posting too often is also limited (3 per minute, 20 per day).

Can I keep posts I like? Tap the bookmark under a community post and it appears in Collection › Bookmarks.

Request account deletion

Your Kindly account is an anonymous account created per device, with no name or email.

In the app: Settings › Delete account and data › Delete. Your account and all your posts, reactions, reports and blocks are removed from the server immediately.
If you already removed the app or cannot open it: email theteamcumulus@gmail.com with the subject “Kindly account deletion” and the text and approximate date of a post you wrote. Because accounts are anonymous we find the account by its posts, delete the account and all its posts, reactions, reports and blocks within 7 days, and reply to you.

Favourites, themes and bookmarks live only on your device and are removed with the app.
Error reports (90 days) and usage statistics (2 months) are not linked to your account and are deleted automatically. Email us if you want them removed sooner.
